Groundbreaking on school expansion

CORNING, N.Y. -- One local school in Corning broke ground on a new 35,000 square foot expansion hat will be funded by Corning Incorporated.

The new addition to the Alternative School for Math and Science will be located behind the school on East 1st Street. There will be two new science labs, a gymnasium, music rehearsal space and an art room. The school will also be able to increase enrollment from 90 to 135 students. Officials believe this addition will allow the school to keep up with the ever-changing technology used in today's classrooms.

"This facility will allow us the flexibility to use what's current now and what we know will change very quickly in the future. So we will be able to keep our students up to date," said Linda Cole, the academic head of school.

Construction is scheduled to begin June 24th and will be completed in the fall of 2012.

Behind the scenes of the new Music Video from Matt and Kim – Block ...

This video was a blast to participate in. Lots of homies there, Ninjasonik represented too. I rode a bike through Manhattan with a shoulder mounted camera worth alot of money while every taxi tried to run me over so I could get this footage. We stopped traffic in Chinatown, two guys started fighting in traffic with each other, then two cops couldn’t decide who to stop, but by then we were gone. This was right next to all the courthouses and the precinct, lots of cops cars. Then we hopped underground, crowdsurfed in the train and ate some good pizza. Then we partied in a bodega with Superchief getting a primetime spot in the video with our awesome t-shirt in full view which we have for sale at our events. Then we hitched it to Rockefeller center; Matt talked about a certain ad campaign he was in, and a security guard decided to stop us by covering Matt’s unplugged Mic and Keyboard. We just moshed around him, crowd surfed Matt to the edge of the rink and chicken’d out of there. Later they hopped into a cab and went to Home Depot and the Brooklyn bridge, but my coverage ended there; I had a hot date waiting for me.

It’s exciting to see some of my footage being used in the video, and it’s being seen worldwide. Below is the official video, and some of the video I shot at their recent show in Williamsburg kicking off their current tour.
