Sony intros new Vaio E series and C series laptops

Sony is updating its Vaio line with a pair of new laptops, the Vaio E and the Vaio C.

The C series comes in 14- and 15.5-inch models, in a variety of colors, including red and blue. There are Intel Core i3 and i5 CPUs, optional Blu-ray drives, and AMD Radeon graphics. The C series also features Intel's Wireless Display technology, which can beam the screen image to a nearby TV (a sold-separately adapter is required).

While the C series is a midsize-only laptop, the E series goes from midsize--14- and 15.5-inch screens--all the way to a massive 17.3-inch model. The smaller E series laptops comes in midnight blue, glacier white, charcoal black, and blush pink; the 17-inch desktop replacement comes in charcoal black and glacier white.

The E-series also includes Intel's Wireless Display technology, as well as a new feature called Remote Keyboard, which allows the laptop to directly interface with select Sony Bravia TVs or Blu-ray players, or even PlayStation 3 consoles. While most E-series laptops will include an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, an AMD E-350 will also be available in select models.

I think Sony actually makes good and attractive laptops. I think they are the Apple of PC computers. As with Apple though their prices have been a bit more then others. But as with Apple Macbook's if your looking to be a bit more upscale in how your computer looks. I think Sony is a good choice. I have a small Y series Sony and think its a decent notebook. I was skeptical about the AMD E350 because in older models Sony used a low powered core 2. After using the Sony I still would rather have the core 2 then a AMD but other then that it is a good travel computer. I have always thought Viao's we're well designed and looked better than many other PC brands. Samsung has just recently begun catching my eyes as well. The only other brand I can think of that consistently designs high end computers for Windows PC's is Alienware. Now if only they could also develop an OS to differentiate them from Window's that would be a plus. Frankly, I'm tired of Mac and Windows. Keeping my fingers crossed for WebOS. Meh...Sony. I simply won't join this lovefest; it's just too nauseating. I've had too many problems with a myriad of past Sony products that refuse to allow me to place my PC faith in their computers, especially after the way one of their desktop models virtually imploded on my sister. Too much money for too little or no gain.
