WEST AKRON: Burglaries occurred at the following locations: the 2500 block of Ridgewood Road between May 1 and 10; the 700 block of Mentor Road between May 15 and June 2; the 1800 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard between May 22 and 27; the 1500 block of Wiltshire Road between May 24 and 25; the 1300 block of Barcelona Drive between May 24 and 26; the 700 block of Copley Road May 25; the first block of Oakdale Avenue between May 25 and 26; the 1000 block of Packard Drive between May 25 and 27; the 300 block of Crestview Avenue May 26; the first block of South Walnut Street between May 26 and 27; a business in the 200 block of West Market Street between May 26 and 27; the 900 block of Hemlock Hills Drive between May 27 and 28; the first block of Borton Avenue between May 27 and 28; the 700 block of Copley Road May 29; the 800 block of Stadelman Avenue between May 29 and 30; the 100 block of Twin Oaks Road May 30; the 100 block of Gale Street May 31; the 800 block of Frederick Boulevard between May 31 and June 6; the 300 block of Crestview Avenue June 1; the 200 block of Metz Avenue June 1; the 900 block of Warrington Road June 1; the 200 block of Wildwood Avenue June 2; the first block of Belvidere Way June 2; the 1200 block of Barcelona Drive June 2; the 400 block of Wildwood Avenue between June 2 and 3; the 200 block of Wildwood Avenue between June 2 and 3; the 1000 block of Hemlock Hills Drive June 3; the 1700 block of Treetop Trail June 3; the 700 block of Mull Avenue June 4; the 800 block of Work Drive between June 4 and 5; the 1300 block of Nome Avenue between June 4 and 5; the 300 block of Crosby Street June 5; and the 400 block of Grace Avenue between June 5 and 6.

A 17-year-old West Akron male was arrested for robbery May 28 around 7:20 p.m. after he allegedly tried to steal candy bars from a store in the 800 block of West Market Street and struggled with an employee and a witness, injuring both. He fled and was apprehended by police on Byers Avenue and identified by the witnesses.

On May 29 around 9:20 p.m., a male victim attempting to deliver food in the first block of South Walnut Street reported a male suspect rammed his body into him, stole the food and fled.

Around 9 p.m. May 31, a store in the 1700 block of Merriman Road was robbed at gunpoint. Employees reported two males wearing masks entered the store and forced all the employees to the back room at gunpoint. The suspect took an unreported amount of money and fled through the back doors. The suspects are two black males, 16-20 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 140-160 pounds. They were wearing black hats, black long-sleeved shirts, black pants and white gloves.
