Women in Business: This year's Top 25 Women in Business in Northeast Pennsylvania will be honored at a luncheon Friday, June 17, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, 100 Adams Ave., Scranton. The local chapter of the National Association of Woman Business Owners (NAWBO) sponsors the luncheon in association with The Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal.
Tickets are $35 for individuals and $30 per person with the purchase of a table of 10, and can be purchased online at nenawbo.com or by calling 878-6098. Honoree's from the area include Karen A. Clifford, vice president regional business development at Archbald-based TR Technology Solutions and Heather Acker, executive vice president/CFO at Simpson-based Gentex.

- Wednesday, June 22: bus trip to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, departs from center 9:30 a.m. Cost of $20 includes transportation, a $15 food voucher and $20 for gaming. Reservation and payment due on or before Friday, June 17. Bus leaves casino at 4 p.m. and return to center at 4:30 p.m. A bag breakfast will be provided at the center (for those 60 or older) for a $1 suggested donation (intake form required for new participants).
