St. Louis Public Schools improve for fourth year
St. Louis (KSDK) - The preliminary results of the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade Level and End of Course exams were released Thursday. The students in the St. Louis Public School District improved in 14 of the 16 categories. This is the fourth consecutive year the St. Louis Public Schools have shown positive improvement.
Seven of the schools earned Adequate Yearly Progress status. The data is still under review, and the district anticipates up to nine additional schools will earn the AYP status.
Students in Missouri in grades 3-8 are required to take MAP tests in communication arts and mathematics. End high school students comprehensive reviews of courses after completing Algebra I, English II, biology, and the U.S. government.
