Annual Turkey shoot prize announced
The New Boston Fire Department is ready for the upcoming Pioneer Days Festival and their two major activities, the annual Turkey Shoot and Pancake Breakfast scheduled for Aug. 20. Money from both events will go toward the maintenance and purchase of equipment for department.
The Pancake Breakfast is from 6 – 8 a.m. at Fire Station #1. Advance tickets available from any fire fighter or at the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are available at the door for $5.
Following the parade at 10 a.m., local marksmen and women can head over to Scout Lake on Hwy. 82, across form Waste Management.
The grand prize for this year’s Turkey Shoot is a Ruger .22 Target Special Mark 3 stainless steel pistol.
Registration begins immediately following the Pioneer Days Parade at Scout Lake. A donation of $40 will cover a shooter for the day. Individual shoots and special ladies shoots are $6.
Winners of each round are entered in the grand prize drawing. All other entries for grand prize are $10. Door prizes will be awarded between shoots. Concessions will be available on sight as well.

Personal preference - I'd rather not have someone's money and merchandise for an undetermined amount of time while they go through the process. What happens if they don't get it or it takes 6 months? My company is going through a merger and there's a chance I'll be relocating, what happens if I move before they get their permits? Thanks for the input, but like I said, I'd rather give preference to someone with a P2P unless I'm in violation of a NJGF rule/protocol that I'm unaware of? It just adds a potential layer of complication that I'd like to avoid.
